Commercial kitchen floors take more abuse than almost any floor in a building. Hot water, grease, dropped pans and cart traffic all hit the same slab. Tile grout soaks that up and starts to fail. We install poured quartz and textured coating systems for Houston kitchens, prep rooms, bars and food plants.
The floor runs as one surface from the drains up to the wall. A coved edge closes the joint where the wall meets the slab. Grease and wash water head for the drain instead of a seam. We have coated food service floors here since 2008, next to our commercial epoxy flooring work.

Two builds cover most kitchens. A quartz broadcast system sets colored quartz sand into an epoxy base. A clear topcoat locks the grain in. That grain gives the floor grip under carts and wet shoes.
A urethane system is the heavier answer. It goes down as a mortar that grips the slab rather than a film on top. It moves with the concrete when hot water hits it. It holds through a fryer spill or a steam wash.
We pick the texture level area by area. The dish pit and the hot line get a heavier grain. Cart aisles get a finer one, so the floor still mops clean. The same idea drives our anti slip floor coatings in walkways, ramps and loading areas.
Prep comes first. We diamond grind the slab, open and fill cracks and control joints, and run a moisture test. Old sealer or a failed coating comes off in the same step.
Coats go down after that. Each one needs cure time before the next, so a quartz build runs multiple days. Where the window is tighter, a fast cure system shortens it. That is the chemistry behind our polyaspartic floor coatings.
Kitchens rarely close all at once. We can phase a room and coat one side while the other keeps working. Dates and the return to service are set at the estimate, so you can plan around them.
We work out of the Memorial area of west Houston. From there we cover Greater Houston, out to Katy and Sugar Land and up to The Woodlands. Restaurants, bars, bakeries, catering rooms, school kitchens and food plants all sit inside that area.
Texas food establishment rules ask for floors that are smooth, durable and easy to clean. They also ask for the floor and wall joint to be coved and sealed. A seamless floor with a coved edge answers that description. Your local health department still makes the call on what it approves.
Moisture is the other Houston problem. Most kitchens here sit on slab-on-grade over Gulf Coast clay. Vapor moves up through the concrete, and coating a wet slab is the top reason floors peel here. We test the slab first and prime with a vapor barrier when the reading calls for it.

We measure the slab, look at its condition and run a moisture test. Then you get a quote for the system we recommend.
Pick the color and finish from samples. Options include full flake, solid color, quartz and metallic.
We diamond grind the slab and repair cracks and joints. A vapor barrier primer goes down when the moisture test calls for it. Then comes the base coat, the flake or pigment broadcast, and the clear topcoat.
Most garages are a two-day job, and a metallic floor takes about three days. We do a final walk-through and tell you when to drive on the floor.

Real reviews from real floor coating jobs on Google, garages to hangars.
These guys did my garage floor back in November, Pablo really knows the technical knowledge and recommend a vapor barrier to be put down first. 3 months in and it still looks brand new. Went with Folsom color choice. Super easy to work with and plan around the drywall crew. Highly recommended!
I work for a custom home builder in the Houston area and we have been using Xpedite Coating for many years on our garage epoxy floors. They are very professional and timely and always leave the site clean after they are finished. I would highly recommend them for your next epoxy flooring need.
I used Xpedite Coatings twice to finish my epoxy flake garage floor at 2 properties. This guy is professional at what they do. The crew came and finished the job in a timely manner. The results look great and price is competitive. Highly recommended.
