Kingwood's first village opened in 1971, and building went on for decades after that. Census figures put the median home at 1989 in ZIP 77339 and 1992 in 77345. So at least half the homes here are more than 30 years old. On a slab that age, the garage floor job starts with the cracks and control joints.
Since 2008, Epoxy One has installed more than 3.5 million square feet of floor coatings across Greater Houston. We are based in Houston, and Kingwood is about 30 miles from our Memorial office. We work across Kingwood, starting with epoxy garage floors, plus polyaspartic, polyurea, metallic, flake and commercial floors. Call or text (281) 831-5656 for a free estimate.

Kingwood was planned on a 14,000-acre tract on the East Fork of the San Jacinto River. Sold as The Livable Forest since it opened, it now has over 75 miles of hike and bike trails. Its villages include Trailwood, Kings Forest, Bear Branch and Hunters Ridge. In 77345, close to nine in ten homes are detached houses.
Across 77339 and 77345, the Census counts about 71,000 people and about 20,600 detached houses. Most Houston-area homes sit on slabs over clay that swells and shrinks. After 30 years or more of that movement, control joints open and hairline cracks spread. Before any coating goes down, we grind off old paint or sealer and repair the cracks and joints.
Flake is the most common garage finish we install, and its broadcast chips hide crack repairs on an older slab. Flake epoxy floors come in gray, black, tan, blue and multicolor blends.
In 2017, Hurricane Harvey brought evacuations and severe flooding to Kingwood. In September 2019, Tropical Storm Imelda flooded roads in and around Kingwood. The National Weather Service logged road closures and water entering homes in the Kingwood and Huffman areas. Sections of Kingwood Drive were impassable.
Moisture coming up through the slab is the top reason coatings peel in the Houston area. If your garage has taken water, that is one more reason to measure first. Our post on why epoxy floors peel in Houston covers the test and the primer for a high reading.
Kingwood's plan included shopping centers from the start, and by 1990 the community had 204 businesses. Today Kingwood Drive and Northpark Drive both run in from US 59 toward Woodland Hills Drive. If your restaurant or shop sits in Kingwood Town Center or along those roads, we work there too.
In 77339, about 7,100 of the 19,104 homes are something other than a detached house, such as townhomes and apartments. In 77345 that number is about 1,300. Apartment common areas and parking garages need traction, so we install anti-slip floor coatings with quartz or aluminum oxide.
Showrooms and service bays usually get a system 2 to 3 millimeters thick; kitchens get a seamless, slip resistant floor. Our commercial epoxy flooring work includes the hangar floors at the Lone Star Flight Museum.
Kingwood is about 30 miles from our Memorial office, northeast by Beltway 8 and US 59 (I-69). Our four crews work weekdays, and a Kingwood floor goes on the same schedule as any other in Greater Houston.
Our recommended garage build puts an epoxy base under a clear topcoat. A polyaspartic floor coating on top holds its color in the sun. Inside, metallic epoxy floors suit living areas, foyers, kitchens and media rooms, and take about three days. Back patios and porches can be coated too; see patio coatings.
Communities and areas we serve around Kingwood: Elm Grove, Kings Forest, Kings Point, Bear Branch, Trailwood, Hunters Ridge, Mills Branch, Sand Creek, Greentree, Fosters Mill, Kingwood Lakes, Riverchase.
Kingwood ZIP codes served: 77339, 77345.

Polyaspartic floor coatings cure fast and hold their color in the sun. We install them as the clear coat over an epoxy base, or as a full one day system.
Learn More
Polyurea floor coatings cure fast and stay flexible under hard use. We install them over an epoxy base, or as a full system when the schedule is tight.

Metallic pigment worked into clear epoxy, poured over a solid color base. Every floor comes out one of a kind, and most take about three days.

Vinyl flake broadcast into an epoxy base coat, then locked under a clear topcoat. The chips hide slab flaws and add grip, and it is the finish most Houston garages get.

A pigmented epoxy base under a clear topcoat, in one even color from bone and tan to gray, slate and safety red. The simplest finish we install, and the one that makes a garage or shop read as one clean surface.

Quartz and urethane floor systems for kitchens, bars and food plants. Coved at the walls, sealed at the drains and textured for wet floors.

Slip-resistant coatings for floors that get wet or see heavy traffic. We build the grip into the floor with a quartz broadcast, an aluminum oxide additive or a textured topcoat.

Acid stains and dyes put the color inside the slab, then a sealer takes the wear. We stain and seal interior floors, porches, patios and driveways across Greater Houston.

We coat the bare concrete slab in living rooms, kitchens, foyers, media rooms and home gyms. Choose solid color, metallic, flake or quartz, all installed with low-odor products.

We coat backyard patios, covered patios, porches and entry steps with an epoxy base and a UV stable topcoat. Full flake is the usual finish, and grit in the topcoat adds grip when wet.

These guys did my garage floor back in November, Pablo really knows the technical knowledge and recommend a vapor barrier to be put down first. 3 months in and it still looks brand new. Went with Folsom color choice. Super easy to work with and plan around the drywall crew. Highly recommended!
I work for a custom home builder in the Houston area and we have been using Xpedite Coating for many years on our garage epoxy floors. They are very professional and timely and always leave the site clean after they are finished. I would highly recommend them for your next epoxy flooring need.
I used Xpedite Coatings twice to finish my epoxy flake garage floor at 2 properties. This guy is professional at what they do. The crew came and finished the job in a timely manner. The results look great and price is competitive. Highly recommended.
We used Xpedite to epoxy our garage floor. Of the 4 quotes we received theirs was not only the best but the most honest. Rather than try to upsell us on a premium product or more square foot coverage they recommended a more modest plan given our use case, and we're transparent about the liters of product they would be using. They were fast and clean, and the garage floor looks beautiful!
Jose Pablo has done three garages for my family. Each one as beautiful and functional as the next. This time we did all white and it's phenomenal. The company did the floors for the Lonestar Flight Museum, so if the floors they made stay white and clean and withstand the traffic of moving 40 or more planes per month, my garage with my little comings and goings will be just right.
I am a wedding venue owner and was in need of replacing our floors. I got over 10 quotes from different flooring companies. Pablo had very competitive pricing and had way more knowledge than any other floor company that i interviewed. His guys did a great job on the flooring. We had to do some additional work afterwards on it based on the usage of our floors and Pablo went above and beyond to make sure that the floors were exactly how we needed them to be for our clientele. He is trustworthy and extremely professional and goes above and beyond for his clients! Use him for your floor project you will not regret it!
